Lot de 2 médailles du paquebot Normandie

Très bel état dorigine: 1935 pour la première, 1985 pour la seconde

La médaille gravée par Maurice Delannoy (1885-1972) est un peu plus petite (diamètre: 50 mm-poids 74 gr) que la médaille du lancement gravée, elle, par Jean Vernon.

Elle montre le paquebot de face tribord.

On appelle cette médaille la médaille du "Ruban Bleu", on voit dailleurs loriflamme flotter à larrière du navire.

Créée en 1935 lors de la conquête du record de la traversée de lAtlantique Nord, cette médaille a été refrappée en 1985 pour le Cinquantième anniversaire du paquebot (1935-1985), dates qui figurent de part et dautre du navire sur lavers de la médaille.

En revanche le revers de la médaille de 1985 nest pas gravé avec lécu de la Normandie, la face est lisse. Elle est ici "attribuée".

La médaille de 1935 est accompagnée de sa boîte dorigine marquée en lettres dorées.

La médaille de 1985 est sans boîte.

Ce sont des pièces de collection recherchées magasin, que lon trouve parfois dans les ventes aux enchères sur les catalogues "paquebots"

Une occasion rare de trouver les 2 modèles différents ensemble.

Très bel état pour les deux médailles, pas de "coup" sur la tranche.

NB: me séparant de ma collection denviron 200 objets et maquettes sur le "Normandie", je passe les pièces en vente au fil des semaines.
